Back in '85 I had left the cold, snowy Sweden behind me and headed for the sunshine state.
MTV was new, and actually played music videos!
It was a greattie, filled with new impressions.
“I hear the call!” grabbed me and shook me by the ears...
The video, all black and white was also different.
I headed for the local recordstore and when I found that vinyl – I swear, I let out a victorious “Haaaggh!”
It's a small wonder that I didn't wear the record out completely.
I have since then returned to my native land, where the wind howls. The record player has been broken for a decade, the cassettes has been chewed up in the old volvo and I've been alone in singing long forgotten, unforgiven songs.
But lucky me, I stumbled across this... and it took me about 5 seconds to order myself a cd.
I will play it loud! For everyone around me to hear. And know they will know the beauty that lies in the music & lyrics (I must confess, I do them little justice when I sing in the shower...)
